Important Reminder for Parents & Guardians: Safe Parking near School

Please be reminded not to park on road corners or on double yellow lines around school drop-off and pick-up times.

We have recently experienced a few near misses involving children and families. Parking on double yellow lines and corners obstructs sightlines for oncoming drivers and pedestrians, making it significantly harder for children and parents to cross the road safely.

Alternative Parking: Please make use of the Pooles Lane car park, which is FREE and provides a safer, stress-free spot to park before walking over to the school.

Thank you for your cooperation in keeping our children and community safe!

Reminders

Reporting Pupil Absence

This is a reminder to all parents/carers that the correct way to report absences is to leave a message on the absence line answerphone daily. If messages are sent by email to the admin email address they will not be registered in time for the morning attendance and you may then receive a call from our attendance team.

Supervision

This is a gentle reminder that parents are responsible for supervising their children and siblings on-site before and after school.

Please do not allow children to play on the equipment either before/after school. At the end of the day, parents and children should leave the site promptly . This enables us to open up the playground for our other clubs. Thank you.

KS2 Playground
Please note that the day in KS2 does not start until 8:40am when the doors open. Children should not be left unsupervised on the playground before this time. Children should not play on the equipment. Thank you

Sports Update

It was a day of outstanding skill, determination, and sportsmanship as our teams competed in the Boccia and Kurling competition held at The Cornelius Vermuyden School. Both teams delivered exceptional performances, showcasing remarkable perseverance and pride.

Champions in Kurling:

The Kurling team, Serenna, Chloe, Charles and Elliot demonstrated incredible team spirit from the very first match, striving to do their absolute best in every end. Their hard work paid off with an impressive record of 6 wins, 1 draw, and just 1 loss. Most deservedly, their spectacular efforts saw them crowned overall champions of the Kurling competition!  The team now proudly advances to the County Finals.

2nd-Place Finish in Boccia:

Not to be outdone, our Boccia team Eden, Josephine, Evie and Joshua proved to be exceptionally tough competitors throughout the tournament. Battling hard in every round, they secured an outstanding 6 wins against just 2 losses. In a nail-biting finish, they narrowly missed out on the top spot by a single point, securing an amazing 2nd-place overall.

Note of Pride:

More important than the scores was the way every single child conducted themselves on the day. Both teams embodied the true heart of sport by displaying great sportsmanship, encouraging one another, and above all, having fun.

Well done to everyone who took part—you should be immensely proud of your achievements! Good luck to our Kurling team as they prepare for the County Finals!
