💙 Williams' Syndrome Awareness Day! 🧬

OPEN EVENING

Important Reminder for Parents & Guardians: Safe Parking near School

Please be reminded not to park on road corners or on double yellow lines around school drop-off and pick-up times.

We have recently experienced a few near misses involving children and families. Parking on double yellow lines and corners obstructs sightlines for oncoming drivers and pedestrians, making it significantly harder for children and parents to cross the road safely.

Alternative Parking: Please make use of the Pooles Lane car park, which is FREE and provides a safer, stress-free spot to park before walking over to the school.

Thank you for your cooperation in keeping our children and community safe!

Reminders

Reporting Pupil Absence

This is a reminder to all parents/carers that the correct way to report absences is to leave a message on the absence line answerphone daily. If messages are sent by email to the admin email address they will not be registered in time for the morning attendance and you may then receive a call from our attendance team.

Supervision

This is a gentle reminder that parents are responsible for supervising their children and siblings on-site before and after school.

Please do not allow children to play on the equipment either before/after school. At the end of the day, parents and children should leave the site promptly . This enables us to open up the playground for our other clubs. Thank you.

KS2 Playground
Please note that the day in KS2 does not start until 8:40am when the doors open. Children should not be left unsupervised on the playground before this time. Children should not play on the equipment. Thank you

Sports Update

Year 5/6 Swimming Success!

Year 5 and 6 have done a fantastic job during their swimming lessons! I hope everyone has enjoyed the sessions as much as I have loved teaching them. It has been wonderful to see the children developing their swimming skills, building confidence in the water and showing great resilience.

Certificates for achieving their 25-metre swim and swimming rescue skills will be handed out in class.

A special congratulations goes to Robert A, who received the Most Improved Swimmer Award! Robert has shown fantastic determination, growing in confidence and making progress every week. His resilience and willingness to keep trying have been brilliant to see.

Well done, Robert, and well done to all of Year 5 and 6 for your hard work and achievements!

Keep on swimming!

Year 6 Show Outstanding Resilience at Canvey Tag Rugby Festival

Our Year 6 tag rugby team braved challenging weather conditions on a cold and rainy day at Canvey Rugby Club, delivering a fantastic performance full of determination, growth, and team spirit.

Playing through relentless wind and rain, the children showed true resilience from the very first whistle. Despite the difficult handling conditions, their enthusiasm never dampened. With every match played, the team’s organisation, passing, and defensive tagging improved noticeably.

The highlight of the day was the players’ relentless drive and strive to support one another. Every team member gave their absolute everything on the pitch, turning a cold, wet morning into a memorable and rewarding experience.

Congratulations to all the Year 6 children involved—you represented the school with immense pride, grit, and sportsmanship!
