Is your child starting school in September 2024?

The primary school (Reception) admission round opens on Monday 6 November 2023 for parents of children to apply for a Reception school place for the academic year that starts in September 2024.

The statutory national closing date for applications is 15 January 2024.
From 6 November 2023, applications can be made online via www.essex.gov.uk/admissions. 99% of parents in Essex applied online last year.

The website also has a copy of the Primary Education in Essex 2023-24 booklet and the Schools Admissions Policies Directories contain details of all admission policies.

We will be conducting tours for prospective families on the following dates for children who are starting school in September 2024.  If you would like to attend a tour, please complete the form below.  We welcome your child to attend also.

We will also be hosting an Open Evening on Thursday 23rd November 2023 from 5pm - 7pm (last entry 6:30pm)  Please come and view the school, meet our teachers and try our fantastic school dinners.  Teachers will be on hand to give tours and provide you with any information you may need.  Should you wish to attend, please complete the form below.

Welcome to Riverside!

We are all incredibly proud of our school and the education, opportunities and experiences that we are able to offer to all of our pupils. We love showing visitors around, allowing them to experience just what it is like to be a pupil at our wonderful school.  However, if you are not able to attend one of our tours,  we have also put together a virtual tour which we hope will give your child a taste of what it is like to be a pupil at Riverside. You can even hear from some of our lovely pupils about just what it is that makes Riverside so special!
