Supervision
This is a gentle reminder that parents are responsible for supervising their children and siblings on-site before and after school. We have had a couple of incidents reported to us which were considered ‘near misses’ and children could have got hurt. Thank you for your attention to this matter.

Mrs Kruse – Book Review: Whatever Next! by Jill Murphy
Whatever Next! is a wonderful picture book written and illustrated by Jill Murphy. It is about a little bear who wants to go to the moon before bedtime.
The story follows Baby Bear as he uses his imagination to build a rocket out of a cardboard box. With a colander for a helmet and some wellies on his feet, he zooms off to space! Along the way, he meets an owl and has a picnic on the moon before heading back home just in time for his bath.
This story is full of fun, imagination, and adventure. The pictures are bright and beautiful, making you feel like you’re flying to the moon too! It’s the perfect book to read at bedtime or anytime you want a magical journey and I am sure it will inspire you to make your own space rocket!
So grab a copy of Whatever Next! and get ready for a trip to space—no ticket needed!

Thank you for your support.
We are pleased to see so many children choosing to cycle and scoot home from school, as it promotes an active and healthy lifestyle. However, we would like to remind all families of the importance of ensuring that children do so safely and with consideration for others.
Please take a moment to remind your child about being mindful of their own safety and that of other path users. This includes being aware of those who may find it more challenging to react quickly to a child on a bike or scooter, such as young children, elderly pedestrians, and dogs on leads. We encourage all children to ride at a sensible speed, be alert to their surroundings, and always show respect to others using the paths.
Your support in reinforcing these messages at home will help ensure a safe and enjoyable journey for everyone. Thank you for your cooperation in keeping our school community safe.
Bill’s New Frock by Anne Fine
What’s the story about?
One morning, Bill Simpson wakes up and finds something very strange—he has turned into a girl! Even though he feels the same inside, everyone starts treating him differently just because he’s wearing a pink frock. Throughout the day, Bill discovers that life as a girl is very different from what he expected!
What I liked about the book:
This book is funny and full of surprises! It makes you think about fairness and how people can be treated differently just because of how they look. Bill’s adventures are exciting, and you’ll enjoy seeing how he deals with all the challenges of his unexpected day.
Who would enjoy this book?
If you like funny stories with a little bit of mystery and a big lesson about treating people equally, you’ll love Bill’s New Frock! It’s great for children aged 7–10.
