If school staff notice children riding bikes or scooters on site, they will be asked to dismount immediately.
Thank you for helping us keep our school safe and welcoming for all.
The Hullbridge preschool did a sponsored toddle around the school field this week in aid of Breakthrough T1D and Diabetes UK.
Unfortunately, this year Eden at the age of 15 (a former pupil of Riverside) was diagnosed with Type 1 (T1D). Type 1 is an auto immune disease and requires Insulin as a treatment. It is very different to what most of us know and understand Diabetes to be.

On Monday, 11th November, the school netball team delivered an outstanding performance against St. Nicholas Primary School, securing their first victory 12-0 . From start to finish, the team demonstrated exceptional teamwork, impressive skill, and commendable sportsmanship that left the spectators thoroughly impressed.
The attackers were on fire, showcasing precision and flair as they consistently found the net to build an insurmountable lead. Meanwhile, the defenders were equally brilliant, tirelessly intercepting passes and denying St. Nicholas any chance to score. Every player contributed to the team’s success, with their cohesive play and relentless effort making all the difference.
While the result was a testament to their abilities, what truly stood out was the team’s positivity and enjoyment of the game. It was a performance to be proud of, both for the victory and the spirit in which it was achieved.
A special shoutout to Grace, who was deservedly named Player of the Match by the St. Nicholas team for her exceptional contribution. Well done, Grace, and congratulations to the whole team on a fantastic match!
Here’s to many more successes to come!
On Wednesday, 6th November, our Year 5 & 6 boys’ football team played away against Rayleigh Primary in a thrilling league match. Both teams impressed with relentless attacks and outstanding defence, keeping the first half goalless. The second half was equally exciting, as Rayleigh’s strikers made four determined attempts, only to be thwarted each time by our goalkeeper, Warwick, with brilliant saves. By the final whistle, both teams were visibly exhausted, and the match ended in a well-earned 0-0 draw. It will be remembered as one of the most exhilarating goalless games in Riverside’s recent history
On Wednesday, the Year 3/4 Riverside team took to the field against Downhall Primary in an exhilarating match that showcased exceptional skill, teamwork, and sportsmanship. Riverside dominated the game from start to finish, ending with an impressive 7-0 victory.
From the first whistle, Riverside’s players demonstrated remarkable coordination. Their passing was crisp, their movement off the ball was strategic, and they displayed an excellent understanding of each other’s strengths. The forward line worked seamlessly, creating scoring opportunities through well-timed passes and effective communication, resulting in a consistent offensive push that Downhall struggled to contain.
But it wasn’t just Riverside’s skill that stood out; their sportsmanship was commendable. Players encouraged each other throughout the match, celebrated each goal as a team, and offered words of support to their opponents.
A huge congratulations to the team on a well-deserved victory. A further well done goes to our goal scorers: MK, RR, GH, KP. This match was a testament to the power of teamwork, determination, and fair play. Well done, Riverside!

Congratulations to the following Year 3/4 children who have earned their;
Bronze award as they can fluently and rapidly recall the 2,5 and 10 times tables.
This young superstar has made a wonderful, selfless decision to donate 31cm of her hair to the Little Princess Trust, a charity that provides wigs to children who have lost their hair due to illness. 💇♀️💖 It’s a big commitment for anyone, especially at such a young age, and we couldn’t be prouder of her kindness and bravery!
In addition to her hair donation, she is also raising funds for the charity. If you’d like to support her fantastic effort, you can visit her fundraising page here: JustGiving Page. Every contribution makes a difference! 🌟
To make the experience even more memorable, D had the support of her cuddly friend Ozzy Otter, who joined her in braving the big haircut! 🦦✂️
Well done to the following children who have received their Bronze award for reading 50 times.
